Travis was born and raised in the Tidewater area of Virginia.  He can play virtually any stringed instrument.  In fact, outside of the sitar, he may have mastered them all.  Travis would humbly disagree, but those that know him well would say that he is one of the most versatile players in the Tidewater Area.  He is the frontman and one of the founding members of Coastline.  His warm vocal range is synonymous with Coastline's sound as the primary lead vocalist.  The resonator guitar or "dobro" is his primary instrument with Coastline.  Travis plays a 78 RQ Jones resonator guitar.
